Heartbroken Man Keeps Wife’s Dead Body In An Ice Coffin At Home
A 53-year-old man named Jiang Maode is keeping the dead body of his wife in an ice coffin at their house because he cannot bear to be separated from her, International Business Times reported. The man has kept his wife in a frozen casket for the last five months because he cannot bear to be without her. Maode said that he talks to his wife, Yang Huiging, at their house in south-west China each day. Yang Huiging died of Leukaemia in December 2014.
Maode, who burns incense by the coffin each day, said that just before his wife passed away he promised her that he would keep her at house. The couple’s son wants to have his mother cremated in the coming months, but Maode insists he wants his wife by his side for the rest of his life. The police have asked the Tian Yuan authorities to investigate the matter. By law, funeral parlors are allowed to hold onto bodies for five days.
