The time for Elena on The Vampire Diaries comes to an end in May, as Nina Dobrev announced she is leaving The Vampire Diaries after six seasons! If you are a fan of the show and follow any of the gossip out there, this should really come as no surprise to you, but it still had the TVD fans in an uproar.
After a fun-filled weekend at Lake Lanier with her TVD family, Nina made the big announcement on her Instagram account: “I want to be the first to tell you that it wasn’t just a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party. I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime.”
