World’s First Robotic Chef Created An ‘Exceptional’ Meal

The time for exclaiming, “Honey, where’s my dinner!” may be at an end. Moley Robotics have created a robot capable of making meals. These meals aren’t just simple ones like a grilled cheese sandwich, no — the robot made a crab bisque. Below is an image of the robot in the kitchen.

For the preparation of its first meal, a glass panel separated the robot from spectators, but the safety measure might have been unnecessary; the robot’s two arms are so precise that they can crack an egg without spilling the yolk or albumin. It even handled a piece of bread and toasted it and melted a pat of butter in frying pan. What’s more, the robotic chef is actually programmed to mimic the movements of professional chefs.

When the crab bisque was ready, the two arms politely held out the dish to be sampled, and the dish was supposedly exceptional. Currently crab bisque is the only recipe the robot can make, but another 2,000 recipes are expected to be added soon. Expect to see this remarkable robot on the market in a couple years at a price of around $15,000.
