It’s impossible to know what goes on inside of a child’s mind. We can all look back at some of the dumb things we used to believe, but do we really know how our mind worked? A common trait among children are having imaginary friends — when we can’t hang out with our real friends, we would make people up to pass the time. When walking with their dad and niece, “themightyspin” recalled the niece looking up at a tree and saying, “What’s that boy doing up in that tree?” There wasn’t an actual person up there, but they were around a cemetery on a farm.

Yelling At A Rabbit

Never get on “trethompson’s” daughter’s bad side. One minute she’s sleeping on the couch, the next she ended up screaming at the rabbit, “No! You can’t do that! That’s bad! Don’t do it!” Once the parent put the rabbit away, she was sound asleep again.

Shaggy’s Demise

User “caybesbond” recalls when her mother had an imaginary friend named Shaggy. Instead of letting them go, she apparently ended the relationship by “[chopping] him up and put him in the fridge.”

Speaking With Those Who Passed Away

“Enxer” remembered a time when they heard their 2-year-old daughter say, “What? OK, I’ll tell her,” through a baby monitor. She then approached his wife and said, “Mary says you’re doing a good job.” Mary was her grandmother that had passed away.
