10 Shocking Tinder Dates That Went Horribly Wrong

Dating has the common misconception of being incredibly difficult. It’s not hard to make friends with people, get to know connections, and perhaps ask some people out on a date. However, for those that are too shy to ask in person, there are apps on people’s phones that will be the icebreaker. Tinder is one of those apps that matches people based on what they put on their profile. However, that doesn’t mean all connections are great. Here are some examples of dates and connections that went horribly bad with rude, obsessed, and uncommitted people.

Froyo Desperation

BYU students participated in an experiment on Tinder that used fake pictures of attractive women on profiles with little to no information on them. They invited around 250 male matches to a frozen yogurt shop at the same time, and about 70 men showed up. Imagine their surprise when it was a sausagefest.

Brilliant Art

Anna Gensler has had multiple Tinder matches that ended up just being weird, creepy dudes. Instead of sulking, she grabbed a pencil and drew them ugly and naked while having them say the weird things they told her.

Caught Lying

You’d expect to see a cheating story at some point with Tinder. One woman’s noncommittal partner used the app to find women, and one of his girlfriend’s friends found out. The girlfriend created a fake account, matched up with him, and let him have it in their meetup.

Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter

The comedian’s daughter, Chelsea, met a man on Tinder named Steve Sheerer and went missing for a week in 2015. Not knowing her daughter’s dating habits, Rosie resorted to social media to try and find her daughter. She was eventually found hiding in the man’s attic on her choice, and Sheerer was a convicted drug dealer. Chelsea was returned home and Sheerer was arrested.

As many of these stories go, a man and a woman match up on Tinder and their initial meetup goes well. Because most people are a little desperate on the service, generally the first night ends up with them shagging together. Well, when the guy woke up the next morning, he found himself tied to the bed and his clothes missing. The girl wanted to play with him all day, and didn’t want him to leave.

Creepy Message

Strange messages are just a way of life for women on social media — guys like to think with something else instead of their brain. However, Lori Zalabak wasn’t going to just take some pervert’s insults when trying to find out her breast size. The man called her “a dog slut piece of sh*t,” and Zalabak texted his mom saying that she wasn’t too happy about what he’s saying to her.

Finance Guy

Another problem with guys is not accepting rejection. A woman received a string of horrible texts from a man who worked in finance. He couldn’t believe he was “getting rejected by 6’s” and insulted her job.

Awkward Work Party

It’s not just an issue with the guys — there can be some weird ladies out there. One of them was matched to a guy on Tinder who thought he was going to a simple Super Bowl party. Instead, it was to a work party that featured multiple men she’s slept with. When they were about to leave, one co-worker yelled out that she still needed to bang two other people, then the guy from Tinder could have her.

Obsessed Girl

Another guy talked about his experience dating a girl for a few weeks after meeting on Tinder, and then her getting nuts after they met in person. She blew up his cell phone with texts and calls, leaving sobbing messages and saying that he needed to move in with her because she was suicidal.

The Next Morning

Bobby also didn’t have a great night with his Tinder match. She came over to his place and ended up staying over and sleeping with him on the same night. Unfortunately, that was the night she had her period, and ended up getting blood all over his white bed sheets.
