Stephen Curry’s birth name is Wardell Stephen Curry II born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, U.S. Curry is an American professional basketball player. His dad, Wardell Stephen Curry Sr., commonly known as Dell Curry, is a retired NBA player. His mother, Sonya Alicia Curry, is an American educator. His parents filed for divorce in 2021 after 33 years of marriage. Stephen Curry has two siblings; his sister, Sydel Curry, is a former volleyball player at Elon University. His brother Seth Curry is also a professional basketball player in the NBA, playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

At the time of Curry’s birth, his dad, Dell, played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Later in his youth, his father played for the Charlotte Hornets. Dell often took his two sons, Stephen and Seth, to the Hornets’ practice sessions, and his boys shot hoop with the Hornets during warm-ups before matches. In 1999, his family moved to Toronto, where his dad played for the Toronto Raptor.
