One Direction Makes Surprising Award Dedication At The Billboard Awards

It was the breakup that shook the pop music world. Zayn, one of the founding members of the British boyband One Direction, up and quit the group mid-world tour in order to pursue his own life on March 25th. In between the time that this event took place and the Billboard Awards on May 17th, there has been many conflicts with the group and Zayn. One of the most notable was the Twitter feud between member Louis Tomlinson and Zayn himself. This lead fans to believe that the group was entirely on bad terms with the former member, but the truth was revealed during the bands speech at the Billboard Awards.

The foursome took the stage after winning the Top Duo/Group award. After Niall Horan took a moment to dedicate the award to their fans, Liam Payne stepped up to the mic to give another dedication. In his moment, he stated “As Niall said, this one is for the fans, but there’s one more person to share this with and that’s our brother Zayn.” The statement was met with nods from the rest of the group and proved once and for all that the entire group is on great terms after the departure.
