Surprise Proposal Turns Hilarious As Mom Face-Plants The Ground

Bill Devaney wanted the perfect proposal for his long-time girlfriend Breanne Clark. That’s why he chose to propose on Lake Michigan in front of the entire family, as it was where the couple went on their first date.

The whole family knew about Bill’s surprise proposal, except Breanne and her mom. After taking the couple’s photo, Bill asked to get a family photo. The plan was to distract Breanne so Bill could get down on one knee and pop the question. The said ‘distraction’ wasn’t what everyone expected. Breanne’s mom slipped and fell, which derailed her daughter’s proposal entirely. Everyone’s attention turned to mom’s face-plant deep in the sand that they almost forgot about the surprise proposal.

“Little did we know, my mom’s clumsiness would do the distracting naturally!” Bridgett, Breanne’s sister said. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt, “except for her ego.” Luckily, Breanne said yes, so it was still a happy ending for everyone.

“We waited seven years for him to propose and my mom didn’t even get to see it since she was face down in the sand. Good thing we had this video for her too see!” Bridgett said.
