Man Tries To Escape Buckingham Palace Naked, You’ll Never Guess Why

A couple of days ago, a video of a naked man trying to escape Buckingham Palace went viral in the UK. Uploaded from a YouTube channel of an alleged tourist, the video shocked everyone, with blogs and news agencies started debating whether the video was fake or not.

The video in question featured a naked man, who is climbing down the facade of the infamous Buckingham Palace with the help of a bed sheet. Captured on Constitution Hill, when the Changing of the Guard is taking place, the footage was allegedly recorded by a tourist, who managed to notice the man trying to lower himself to the ground from the window of the palace.

Even though many believed that the video was real, it turned out to be nothing but a hoax. As reported by Variety, the viral stunt was made by E! in order to promote their upcoming drama The Royals. “The footage is from D-Throned, an online tabloid covering E!’s fictional modern day royal family from The Royals” stated E! officials.

The viral marketing stunt did prove successful and, while people had some fun speculating what the relations between the man and Queen Elizabeth could be, we now know that he’s simply an actor doing his job. The upcoming show The Royals will give audiences a hedonistic take on the British royal family and will premiere on E! at March 15, 2015.
