Teacher Eaten Alive By Great White Shark Off Coast Of Australia
A teacher, who had recently taken a fishing trip off the shark-infested coast of Australia, was eaten alive by a great white shark while aboard the boat.
Sam Kellet, 28, decided to go spear fishing with his friends off the Yorke Pensinsula coastline in Southern Australia when the shark attacked. Witnesses claim they saw a massive five-meter great white jump from the water, thrashing around. Sam’s friends never saw the attack when it first happened, but they later witnessed the pool of red blood where Kellet had once been.
Sam’s friend, Aaron Whitaker said: “I turned around [and] saw the tail of a shark come out of the water and it was thrashing around. I put my face under the water to see the shark but I could not see it. All of a sudden a white pointer shark came out the murky water vertically towards the surface just behind me and almost launched itself out of the water.”
A second witness claimed to be around 25-meters from Kellet when the shark had attacked. He, too, simply saw the thrashing tail as it tore his friend apart.
Police divers were unable to locate the body, but they did discover the spear gun, which had “discernible serrated incisions” which are consistent with a great white shark’s bite. Divers continue to search for the man or the shark.
