Investigation Into Racist Cops in Grand Theft Auto Underway

Grand Theft Auto V was one of the biggest game releases in the past few years, surpassing all expectations and setting records for sales. Unfortunately, the police within the action-crime game have become something of a problem within the past few years. A lot of controversy has surrounded the game already, but the act of calling the video game police racist and holding an investigation is one of the most odd accusations to come from the video game world.

When the player is taking on the role of Franklin – the only black playable character in the story mode – the police act completely different to when you play as Michael or Trevor. Rockstar denies this, saying it is completely false, that the in-game police don’t treat any one specific character any differently. However, numerous videos on YouTube have revealed that statement appears to be false.

Thankfully, Game Theories has stepped forward to fully investigate whether or not the police in Grand Theft Auto V are racist or not. The YouTube channel took a good amount of time – 16 minutes – to really go in-depth with this investigation.
