Kanye West Reveals How Much Kim Kardashian Has Changed His Life
While Kanye West may be known for his massive ego and the rants that come along with it, in a recent interview he explained that family life with his wife Kim Kardashian and their daughter, North, has refocused him. West, 37, told T Magazine, “I feel like now I have an amazing wife, a super-smart child and the opportunity to create in two major fields. Before I had those outlets, my ego was all I had.”
Of course, Kanye West wouldn’t be Kanye West without still being somewhat egotistical, so he isn’t a totally changed person. He compares his ego to a marble table in his home: “I realized that table was my ego,” he said. “No matter what you put around it, under it, no matter who photographed it, the d–chebaggery would always come through.”
Hopefully, West will continue to channel his energy into more positive endeavors than he used to. Try as he might, West is still remembered for some of his more outrageous behaviour: he infamously stole the mic from Taylor Swift as she accepted her award at the 2009 VMA’s, and West claimed Beyonce should have won.
With his recent success in the fashion world, it appears the public is ready to forgive West, but so far forgetting is a different story.
