Beautiful Realization About Not Wearing Make Up

When you’re rushing to go and meet your girlfriends, but you didn’t have time to get ready and put make up on, what is usually the first thing you tell them? YouTube star Lilly Singh who runs a channel called IISuperwomanII shared her concerns about how girls and women tend to apologize for “looking like a mess” when in fact, they’re just not wearing make up. Once she realized she is apologizing for nothing, or as she says “for looking like myself“, she decided to put an end to it. “Since when do I have to apologize for looking like myself?” Lilly questions. “And since when is looking like myself considered ‘a mess?'”

After that epiphany, Lilly decided to go make up-free and retract all her apologies from the past. She also encouraged all the women not to apologize for looking like themselves. “So I just want to remind all you girls, especially if you’re younger, that you don’t need to wear make up,” the star adds in the video. “You can, and there’s nothing wrong with it, but if you don’t, you’re still awesome!“
