Beauty Vlogger Brendan Jordan Makes #KylieJennerChallenge Go Viral

Fifteen-year-old vlogger by the name of Brendan Jordan is seemingly a typical beauty vlogger, but when you scratch underneath the surface, Jordan is more interested in encouraging his viewers to be themselves than giving actual beauty tips. His YouTube channel has more than 120,000 subscribers and he first rose to fame when he appeared in the video of a newscast doing Lady Gaga’s Applause choreography.

In his newest video, he shows how to get swollen lips using a shot glass, which has been partially responsible for the hashtag #KylieJennerChallenge to spread and go viral on Twitter and Instagram. The goal is to recreate the look made popular by the young reality star Kylie Jenner where lips look full, but without botox or injections.

Brendan’s loyal followers love him for his sense of humor which he incorporates in his videos. His first and foremost goal is to show people how to embrace their own style. He says about his haters: “I make a joke out of most of my hate. If someone says my eyebrows look like caterpillars, I’ll laugh. Because maybe my eyes were looking like caterpillars that day. Who knows?” The YouTube star also posted a coming out video which has half a million views. In it, he simply states: “Just because you like the same gender doesn’t mean you’re an alien. If you like it, you do it. As long as you’re not harming anyone or breaking any laws, just do it.”
