Blur Frontman Carried Off Stage After Refusing To Quit Performing

Blur frontman Damon Albarn was recently performing at a concert with the band, Africa Express during Denmark’s Roskilde Festival when he had to be forcibly removed by security after refusing to end his 5-hour set. The musician had already put together quite the lengthy performance when he was asked to finish up, presumably to let the crew working the festival cleanup and go home.

After being asked to stop his performance a number of times, he took to the mic to say, “You want more, we’re going to give you more.” While also making it clear he didn’t care what security said about the issue. Being that this occurred at 4am it appears there were a number of security members who were ready to end the show, even if Albarn wasn’t. Eventually they had to come on stage and carry him off.
