Children’s Hospital Celebrating Child Life Month to Taylor Swift Will Bring A Tear To Your Eye

Nurses and patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia worked together to create a fun music video to Taylor Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off” in celebration of Child Life month. Child Life month is a part of the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy department of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia which is geared towards decreasing the impact of long term hospitalization for treatment and surgeries on children. The program offers schooling, arts and crafts and music, all to help combat boredom and give children and their families a feeling of normalcy while they undergo treatment, surgeries, and recovery.
The staff who work in the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy department are certified in child development, therapeutic recreation, art therapy, music therapy, and education.
