What do you do when you’ve got some spare money and loads of time on your hands? If you’re feeling crafty, you might want to take notes from the YouTube user Gasturbine101 and make your own personal helicopter. Who says only billionaires can use them on the daily? The man filmed himself flying the handmade helicopter made out of 54 individual drones and a lot of hobby electronics.

Drones are a more common word for miniature unmanned aerial vehicles, and when put together, according to the video description, the helicopter can stay airborne for ten minutes and take up to a weight of 164kg. It might not get you to fly all the way to Europe or Australia, but it can be a great thing to brag about to your friends. Or visit those that live within the five-mile radius.
