Maya Rudolph Absolutely Nails Rachel Dolezal Impression

Comedian and SNL’s Maya Rudolph recently appeared on fellow former SNLer Seth Meyer’s late night talk show and showed she still has the chops when it comes to pulling off imitations. On this fateful night, Rudolph took aim at Rachel Dolezal. For those living under a rock, Dolezal is the former head of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP who passed herself off as a black woman. Her parents recently outed her by posting a picture of Dolezal when she was a child that clearly showed she was a blonde haired white girl.

After the news came out, Dolezal did herself no favors by acting rather strange in a number of different interviews geared towards getting to the bottom of why she had pretended to be black. With that kind of story, the comedy almost writes itself and Rudolph took it all the way home as she donned a wig and perfectly played up the oddity of the whole situation.
