New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Video Has People Infuriated, You’ll Never Believe Why

You’ve probably seen the car commercial where the dad sends his daughter off to join the military. He watches her walk off with other soldiers as he begins to tear up with pride. Saturday Night Live has decided that the advertisement was simply made for parody. The thing that has more than a few people fired up is the way SNL decided to carry out its parody.

In the newest Saturday Night Live version, starring Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, the father is basically going through the same motions. There’s the heavy-handed voice-over and the girl going off to fight as she heads to the airport. Just like in the real ad, she meets up with a fellow “fighter”, but it’s the side she and her fellow-combatant are on that has people so angry.
