See The Age Gap Between These Movie Stars

It’s easy enough to count on Hollywood to have an army of celebrities — handsome, talented, charismatic men and women — enlisted and ready for deployment at a moment’s notice. But anyone who needs a reminder that they’re probably still human doesn’t have to look any further; through the magic of the internet, a half dozen actors and actresses are pitted against one another and compared in age.

Knowing the numbers behind them may not strip away their divinity — not entirely, at least — but the video does help highlight specific trends. The average age difference between the couples on display, i.e. those the video claims were romantic leads together in movies, is nearly twenty-four years. Granted it’s a small sample size, but it’s still easy to come to some conclusions. Unfortunately, some of them are nastier than others.

The video might be out to highlight just how much the industry banks on esteemed, big-name actors, no matter the age. To compensate, if and when they get attached to anything with a hint of romance, a significantly younger actress makes it into the cast. Intentional or not, there are some grim implications exposed here.

It’s either that, or the video just wants to offer up some surprising, party-friendly trivia. It could go either way, arguably.
