Video Shows Active Duty Soldier Minutes Before He Dies In Police Custody

A recently released video shows the last moments of U.S. Army Sgt. James Brown. Brown had self-reported to an El Paso County jail in order to serve a two-day jail term on a DUI charge. The soldier was still on active duty at Fort Bliss when this incident went down. During his very short stay at the county jail, Brown died of causes that have never been made clear to the public or his family. The soldier’s family has actually started a lawsuit against the county jail claiming he was mistreated while in their care. The incident and the death of Brown actually took place in 2012 but the video was just recently released.
