You’ll Never Believe How This Camouflage ‘Expert’ Tried To Evade Arrest
Our story begins the day after Friday the 13th. 23-year-old Jose Espinoza is about to make his biggest hit – a car theft. Carefully planning his crime, he waited for the night to come, got out of his house, found a car that was parked just near his home and tried to break into it. But wait! The police was nearby and caught him red handed. Quickly running back to his house, the police chasing after him, Jose did what he thought was the best possible thing to avoid arrest – disguise himself.
The young man did not have much in his house to make him disappear into thin air. Yes, a Harry Potter Invisibility cloak would have been perfect in the situation, but Jose didn’t have his with him. Thus, he grabbed the nearest spray paint and painted his face totally black. You’d think that as crazy as the idea might seem, under the darkness of night, it might succeed. However, it didn’t, the police in Madera, California, arrested Jose Espinoza in his home, after they managed to see through his ‘clever‘ disguise.
The way he wanted to blend in with the inanimate urban scene was quite surprising as well. “He spray-painted his face black and attempted to hide against a white all in the home’s yard,” spokesman for the Madera Police, Josiah Arnold, stated.
The bottle of spray paint used for the ridiculous camouflage attempt was later found in his house and turned in as evidence. Charged with receiving known stolen property, unlawful taking of a vehicle and theft, Jose Espinoza had his bail set at as much as $35,000.
